Job Description

A Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms, hallways, and common areas of the hotel. The role includes cleaning rooms, changing linens, replenishing amenities, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.

Requirements

• Entry-level positions do not require experience, but having 1-2 years in housekeeping can be an advantage.
• Skills Required:
• Ability to clean and maintain rooms efficiently.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• Physical stamina (as the job involves standing, bending, and lifting).
• Basic communication skills (English proficiency is a plus).
• Ability to follow hotel cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Additional Requirements:
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Must be polite and professional with guests.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance:
• Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to hotel standards.
• Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock toiletries.
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, and dust furniture.
• Dispose of trash and sanitize surfaces.
• Guest Comfort & Service:
• Ensure rooms are properly prepared before guest check-in.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for additional items (towels, toiletries, etc.).
• Report any lost or found items to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Safety & Hotel Standards:
• Follow hotel policies for hygiene and cleanliness.
• Report any maintenance issues (broken lights, leaking taps, etc.).
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and store them properly.
• Adhere to hotel security policies and maintain guest privacy.
• Teamwork & Efficiency:
• Work closely with the housekeeping team and supervisors.
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks within the required time.
• Assist in laundry and linen management if required.
