EvanCeylon Tourism is looking for a highly motivated Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles and experience working in the travel and tourism industry is an advantage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Experience in the tourism industry is an added advantage
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Strong understanding of Sri Lanka’s tax regulations and compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable
• Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports
• Monitor and reconcile bank transactions and general ledger accounts
• Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local financial regulations
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Ensure timely payroll processing and statutory payments
• Conduct audits and financial risk assessments
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial efficiency
• Manage financial records and ensure data accuracy
